Dodd, of Savage+Dodd Architects established in 1998, has received numerous awards for architectural projects that sought to revitalise South Africa’s post-Apartheid urban landscape. Her work focuses on creating responsive built environments, and her portfolio of work includes the Melrose Arch Apartments and Brickfields in Johannesburg, and the Sol Plaatje University in Kimberley. These large scale residences, social housing projects, mixed use buildings, and educational projects seek to create places for people, community and neighbourhood.
